Overview

One of the oldest passenger car makers in the Indian automobile market are the highly reputed Tata Motor Group, which also has a share in few international car brands as well. The company has a fearsome fleet of cars existent in the country. Their much admired fleet of automobiles includes some of the most fearsome SUVs, charming sedans and compact yet spacious wonderful hatchbacks as well. All their vehicles are doing pretty well in the Indian car market, since the time they were introduced in the country. The vehicles made by the company are reliable and very easy on the pocket. One such impressive sedan is the Tata Indigo XL model lineup, which was first launched in January 2007 and has been one of their top selling cars in the profitable Indian car market. The Tata Indigo XL series of sedan's have been known for their powerful and fuel efficient petrol, diesel as well as a petrol + CNG engine options along with outstanding exteriors and sumptuous interiors as well. These sedan variants have impressive features and can comfortably accommodate five passengers in them. The company is offering the customers three options to choose from, which have different engine options along with a long list of convenience and protective aspects, which will certainly amaze the customers. The exteriors are sleek and attractive, while the insides of this sedan series have been done up stylishly and incorporated with a lot of advanced functions as well, which will undoubtedly tempt the customers into buying it. This impressive sedan model lineup has some of the most interesting comfort features integrated in it. This Tata Indigo XL sedan series has been fitted with a Bharat Stage III compliant 1.4-litre diesel motor, which has the capacity to displace 1405cc and is attuned to generate a superior 69.58bhp at 4500rpm in combination with a peak torque output of 135.4Nm at 2500rpm, which is quite good. The other petrol + CNG combination engine is a 1.4-litre mill that can displace1396cc along with an impressive 98.98bhp at 6100rpm, when driven in the petrol mode, while the same engine delivers about 84.28bhp at 6100rpm, when in the CNG mode, which is quite good. This engine also generates a hammering maximum torque of 124NM at 3500rpm, while its being run in the petrol mode. On the other hand, the same engine can deliver an outstanding torque output of 105Nm at 3500rpm, when being driven on the CNG mode. This CNG + petrol combination engine is compliant with all the norms of the BS – IV and emits lesser emission as well. Apart from both of these engines, the company is also offering this Tata Indigo XL sedan with a 1.4-litre, CR4 diesel engine, which has the ability to displace close to 1396cc along with an excellent 69.58bhp at 4000rpm in combination with a 140Nm of peak torque yield at 1800 – 3000rpm, which is quite good. These engines are renowned and are said to be highly fuel efficient and performance packed motor's in its segment. The interiors of this sedan has also been done up very tastefully and some new features have also been included, which will certainly amaze the buyers. Apart from the convenience features, the company has also integrated some fundamental safety features as well in this sedan. These include an advanced central locking system and the highly developed engine immobilizer along with child safety locks on rear doors, the driver and front co-passenger get ELR (emergency locking retractor) seat belts, a notification lamp for the driver door open and also a warning for the seat belt not fastened in the instrument cluster, a collapsible steering that is a power assisted rack and pinion hydraulic wheel and several other such significant aspects as well.

    Look and Style Excellent. Comfort Beyond comparision Mileage Moving average of 18 KMPL Diesal over 60,000 Kms. Best Features Space, airconditioning and reliability in the name of TATA motors.     I had experienced excellent value for money with this car. This car offers a average of 13-16 kpl. Everything is better with the car, its mileage, its performance, its vehicle body strength.
