September 4, 2014: Celebrating 5 successful years in India, Land Rover introduced an exclusive Freelander 2 Sterling Edition at Rs 44.41 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The new Freelander 2 Sterling edition comes equipped with range of sporty exterior upgrades such as 17-inch five-split spoke alloy wheels with anthracite finish, front & rear apron and black finish single tail pipe. The SUV is powered by 2.2 litre diesel engine, which churns a maximum power output of 150 Hp. The SUV also gets dark atlas grille, dark atlas fender and side vents, tailgate spoiler and lower door claddings.

Land Rover has rolled out a new, price cut S Business edition of its flagship SUV Freelander 2, which will be a new base variant of the car priced at around Rs. 2 lakh cheaper than the existing one. In order to make it more affordable, Land Rover has cut down some features like the sunroof, rear camera, front doors' puddle lamps, driver and passenger's arm rests and powered front seats. The company has also replaced the 7-inch touchscreen and NAV unit with a smaller 4.2 inch colour display with a 6-speaker audio system. In terms of design, the car remains all the same.
Tata Motors owned British luxury carmaker, Jaguar Land Rover has today reported revenues of £15.8bn for the fiscal year ended 31st March 2013, up 17% year on year (£13.5bn last year). Retail sales increased 22% to 374,636 vehicles, supported by significant product actions including the all-new Range Rover, Jaguar all-wheel drive XF and XJ and the XF Sportbrake. The company generated positive sales growth in all regions: China up 48%, Asia Pacific up 27%, UK up 20%, Europe up 18%, North America up 9% and other overseas markets up 19%. Profit before tax increased by 11% to £1,675m for the fiscal year (£1,507m last year).
