Volkswagen recently debuted the world's most fuel efficient concept car-XL1. Touted with a compact 800cc, TDI diesel engine that churns out 74bhp, the mill is mated with a 7-speed direct transmission that transits torque to the rear wheels. The smart engine is an incorporation of a diesel mill with an electric motor, that provides a fuel economy of 100 kmpl.
