Being a Toyota, you expect the best safety features. It gets up to seven airbags along with ABS with EBD and brake assist. Then there are the projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 7-inch touchscreen, LEDs in the tail lamps, climate control and a powered driver seat. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The engine is tuned to make 108PS of max power and 140Nm of peak torque. You even get paddle shifters with the CVT. It competes with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid. The car is totally worthy to be bought as the comfort, performance, and the feel in the car is premium. Moreover, you may have a test drive of the car for a better idea of comfort and drive quality by visiting the nearest dealer in your city. Though both the models are the same in engine performance and look, what makes the difference is of features and prices. The J CTV variant has 7 airbags (driver, passenger, driver knee, 2 front side, and 2 curtains) which is not there in J Optional CVT. Rest all the features are the same in both the variants. If we talk about the prices then J Optional CVT is priced at Rs. 9.56 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) whereas J CVT is priced at Rs. 11.78 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Toyotas are about reliability and dependability, and for that alone some people will gravitate towards the Yaris. The safety equipment levels on the Yaris fortify this faith further. The Yaris deserves to be looked at seriously by midsize sedan buyers as it makes for a calm commuter and capable all-rounder. The sense of premiumness in the cabin and the relaxing backseat experience are clear highlights. However, its narrow cabin makes it seem a size smaller than the competition and some misses on the feature list eat into its advantage. On the other hand, our recommendation is that you must definitely check out the Rapid if you list driving pleasure in the top three things you consider before buying a new car. It will offer you great performance, and decent fuel efficiency as well. It misses out on some creature comforts when you compare it to its rivals but it undercuts most of them in price too. But If you are a family of four, it should still suffice. And if you are worried about reliability issues, Skoda is offering a 1 lakh kilometer warranty package with road-side assistance, included in the price of the car. you may compare both the cars accordingly.Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.Approximate Service Cost figures for Toyota Yaris and Skoda Rapid in 5 year are Rs. 16,362 and Rs. 35,128 respectively. These are approximate figures excluding labour charges, GST
