Nissan, the largest auto manufacturer in the world, is reported to launch its flagship car model, Nissan GTR in India. The sports car which has coupe design was first introduced in Japan on December 2007 followed by the US in July 2008 and the rest of the world in March 2009. The car is also known as Godzilla across the world. The concept car of Nissan GTR was displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2001 and 2005. However the production model of the car was showcased in 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and launched commercially in Japan on December 6, 2007.

Toyota Avanza Launch Date

World's largest auto manufacturer, Toyota Motors planning to launch Toyota Avanza in the month of September or October this year.

Riding on the success of Toyota Innova and Toyoa Fortuner, Toyota Kirloskar Motors is planning to launch its new product in Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) segment in India. The new IMV from Toyota is Toyota Avanza which is being sold in Thailand at present and doing very well. The Toyota Avanza is to be positioned below the Toyota Innova and likely to be mini Innova. It is also speculated that it will be cheaper by up to 25 per cent than Toyota Innova hence pitted against the likes of Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo. The news of launching Toyota Avanza in India has also been confirmed by a senior official of the Japanese auto major. The officials confirmed by saying that they would bring a second people mover followed by Toyota Innova in India but not an SUV.

Toyota Etios Launch Date

According to the company official, they might launch Toyota Etios by the end of this year.

Toyota Etios Price

The company has not yet disclosed its prices but it is expected that Toyota Etios hatchback model will be priced in Rs 4 to 5 lacs range while the price of its sedan version will fall in 7 to 9 lacs bracket.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (KTM) displayed its one more innovative creation at Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The new creation by the company is Toyota Etios (sedan and hatchback). The new concept car will be started selling in India only and will be introduced in other countries thereafter. This compact car, Toyota Etios, is targeted at masses in India. As per the company, to develop this people's car, over 2,000 engineers were engaged to give it small size without compromising eye-catching interior, power, performance and higher fuel economy. At the Auto Expo 2010, the company displayed hatchback and sedan models of Toyota Etios. The hatchback was in blue shade while sedan was dazzling in white. The company had worked hard to make Toyota Etios affordable and wished to use only domestic components for the same.

It is expected that the company will launch Audi A1 in the Indian auto market by the end of this year.

Audi has decided to foray in the small car segment with Audi A1. After much speculation, the company has officially showcased Audi A1 pictures which promise great luxury small car. When each and every auto maker is entering into compact car segment than why not Audi. Audi A1 was first time hit the Tokyo Motor show in October 2007 as a metroproject quattro concept. According to the company, it will have its world premier at the Geneva Show in March 2010. The mini luxury car would be available for sale in the UK in May 2010. The car in hatchback form is expected to hit Indian soars by the end of 2011. However, no official word to confirm the news.  Audi A1 is based on its parent firm's car Volkswagen Polo and is to be shorter than the Audi A3, has been a largest selling car model, but will have more length, width and height than the Mini Cooper. BMW 1 series's size would be more appropriate example for Audi A1. The car has three doors and five door hatchback is also speculated in near future followed by the former.

Ford, the US auto major, already launched its small car Ford Figo in India and aiming to launch more compact vehicles in the industry. Now the company plans to launch Ford Focus in India. However, the news is not new for Indian car lovers. From 2003, expectations are in air and a couple of Ford officials had also confirmed the news. Again the insiders are indicating the launch of Ford Focus in India. The Ford Focus was unveiled in Europe in July 1998 followed by worldwide launch in Feb 2000. After this year, Ford re-launched the car with more upgradation in different countries. In fact, Ford Focus is the best selling car of the US based auto firm. Once it was the best selling family car in the UK. In International market Ford Focus is available in sedan, hatchback, 2-door cabriolet and coupe body type. But for India, it would be a sedan body type Ford Focus.

Honda CRV is believed to be first small car like SUV. Instrumental panel inside the car is well designed, which is also very easy to be controlled. With enough cargo space it is equipped with many convenience features along with a foldable picnic table under the trunk carpet. For normal conditions Honda CRV is powered by front wheels. In harsh situations rear wheels can also be made to use. After the huge success of Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20, India's second largest auto manufacturer, Hyundai Motor Company is planning to launch its premium hatchback model Hyundai i30 in India. Hyundai i30 is the latest C segment five-door hatchback car which is designed by Hyundai European team in Germany. In India Hyundai i30 will be available with both petrol and diesel engine option. However, Hyundai i30 price is not announced by the Hyundai but it is expected that it will place parallely with Hyundai Accent Executive.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Is all set to launch it latest sports sedan Maruti Kizashi in India by 2011. Recently, top Suzuki official again confirmed the news. Suzuki, Japanese auto major and parent company of Maruti India, sells Suzuki Kizashi in the US and Japanese market and the response is overwhelming at there. The mid-size car, Maruti Kizashi, was showcased for the first time at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show than at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. In addition to this, the concept third Kizashi was introduced at the 2008 New York auto show. After showcasing the Maruti Kizashi at different Auto Shows across the world, it was launched commercially in Japan and the US in October 2009 and December 2009 respectively. The company also displayed the production model of the car at the biggest Auto Expo-Delhi Auto Expo 2010. This was a quick hint of launching the Maruti Kizashi in India too.
