Tata Nano is beyond competition in the ultra low-cost car segment, despite which Tata Motors is trying hard to boost the sales offering mouth-watering discounts. It is definitely quite tempting enough and a unique scheme as well with Tata Motors announcing to offer the Tata Nano small car with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 in return for a two wheeler. And if you are in the deal in exchange for a four-wheeler, then you will be getting Rs 25,000 in return. This whopping discount is over the usual exchange bonus offered on the Tata Nano which stands at Rs 10,000 until now. Therefore the total discount on the exchange of a two wheeler comes up to Rs 30,000 and the consolidated discount on exchange of a four wheeler is Rs 35,000.

You might have heard about exchange bonuses on an old car for a new car of the same brand. But, Tata Nano has played an impressive game here destined to gain interest from the two-wheeler owners across the country who have always been the prime targets of Tata Motors. Offered at a Tata Nano price of Rs 1.27 lakh for the base variant, the idea is to offer the two-wheeler segment buyers an ample opportunity to consider Tata Nano as a better option. Ergonomically, the small car has seen a major improvement from the past in the new, 2012 Tata Nano with the 624 cc unit tweaked further to offer 38 PS and 51 Nm peak power and torque from before.

This is not all, the new Tata Nano has become feature rich too with Tata Motors acting upon the customer feedback to make the new Nano visually more acceptable and all this at the same Tata Nano price as ever before. However, one has to agree that the Tata Nano sales in India did improve from the past, making 6,401 units sale in the month of the new car launch itlself to make a dramatic shift from the 509 units against the 2010 November sales.
