The Tata Indigo e-CS has been declared as the most fuel efficient sedan by Automotive Research Association Of India (ARAI). The sedan wins the battle of mileage amongst its nearest rivals such as Hyundai Accent and Ford Ikon, etc. The Tata Indigo e-CS is powered by the 1.4L, CR4, Common Rail Diesel engine and it offers 23.03kmpl mileage as per the ARAI test reports. Tata Indigo CS e series is also available with 1.2L, MPFI petrol engine and both engine satisfies the BS IV emission norms. The powertrain is mated with a five speed manual gearbox as well.

The Tata Indigo CS e-series has got some exciting up-gradations in interior as well as in exteriors. The car has been updated with a new grille and new body coloured rear view mirrors and turn indicators. With this, it has many changes in the interiors of the car including a two tone beige interiors, instrument cluster with chrome rings, gradient climb assist and Blue-tooth connectivity with AUX. The new Tata Indigo e-series is costlier by about Rs 10,000 as compare to the previous BS-III compatible version. Apart from these alterations, the car has been added with Bluetooth connectivity, electronically powered rear view mirrors (ORVMs).
