Skoda to launch new models in Fabia series

Skoda Auto India is going to launch its three new cars in the SkodaFabia which will include a new sports model and will launch this year. According to company officials the new sports car Fabia Sport line,will available with alloy wheels and newly designed interiors.

Its engine was made after taking into consideration the choice of sports car lovers. Its engine will be modified to 1800cc . While the regular SkodaFabia range comes within the capacity of 1200-1600cc.

Skoda's business head Thomas kuehl said that “We will make many varieties of Fabia to make this a most popular brand around the world. Fabia is Skoda largest selling brand and it sold about 7000 cars in the year 2008. Its sales increased by 22% to 11309 cars in the month of April-December. Total auto sales had declined due to global financial crisis,but Skoda the premium car manufacturer is still among the those auto makers whose sales had increased in domestic market.

The company will also join into the sports utility vehicle(SUV) segment with the launch of it's Yeti model earlier in 2010. Skoda is going to spread it's network dealership to 60 this year.

Skoda has set up a warehouse at Aurangabad by an investment of Rs.12 crores in a bid to augment spares part supplies from it's European plants
