REVA launching new model- giving better performance and reliability

The Indian electric car company REVA has come up with a innovation in its model REVAi that being it is the only car of the company with a helium ion battery version. The new innovation of the company promises to give better charging speeds and for longer durability. With this new lithium ion battery the car will be increased in power and distance moving ability as it will be able to travel a distance of nearly 75 miles which will be nearly 50 percent more than the present existing model. It is point to be noted that the new REVA-L can be used for nearly 95 percent for the total distance without getting charge
even once.
  Moreover charging of the car be done just within a hour at fast charging stations. Further it can also be charged using ordinary electricity mains. But the full charging of the battery takes nearly six hours. Available at a top speed of 50mph, the new battery has a better life than the pre-existing one. According to the president for sales and marketing, this new car model is expected to cost between Rs.7 to 8 lakh. This new model is expected to come in the market till by the end of 2009.
