The world’s cheapest small car Tata Nano had been spotted twice near Pune by one of our close sources with a slight makeover. However, there is no confirmed information on whether the spotted car is the V2 version of the small car or not. While one spied picture shows the existing number plate, the other picture clearly shows number plate of the testing mule. The image in question features the right hand side rear view mirror which is absent in the outgoing models. Hence, this could be the speculated V2 version or this recent modification brought in by the manufacturer.

Tata Motors is well-known for modifying its car models taking the customers feedback into account. This gives Tata Motors all the more reason to bring in as many positive changes in the small car to overcome the dipping sales. The exposed engine of Tata Nano is also a bit of let down for the car which seems to have been taken care of by the car manufacturer  by hiding it under the hood after considering the inputs from the customers. The rear of the car now adorns the chrome strip at the extreme bottom, which could be to serve the decorative purpose on the hatch. The rear bumper seems to be redesigned with a horizontal slat probably to vent out the excessive engine heat. The changes on the rear end of the car are reflected in the second image with the current number plate, which makes it impossible to draw any conclusions on its probability of being a V2 version.

It could be the TCS special edition. The special edition comes with 2 ORVMs and V-spoke alloy wheels. I got one. If there is a way to post pics pls let me know.
