Fiat has discontinued the 76PS diesel version of the Punto EVO and the hatch now comes standard with a more powerful 93PS version of the 1.3-litre Multijet and a new five-inch touchscreen infotainment system

Fiat India has introduced PowerTech versions of the Punto EVO and the Avventura with added features and a standard 93PS diesel engine. The announcement was made alongside the launch of the Fiat Linea 125 S, which made its debut at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.  Prices for the PowerTech series start at Rs 6.81 lakh for the Fiat Punto EVO and Rs 7.87 lakh for the Fiat Avventura (ex-showroom New Delhi).

Fiat India has discontinued the 76PS fixed geometry turbocharged version of the Multijet diesel available with the Punto EVO. Now, it will feature the 93PS variable geometry turbocharged version, branded as ‘PowerTech’.  Both the Punto EVO and the Avventura PowerTech versions will be available in three trims – Active, Dynamic, and Emotion. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engines remain untouched.

Another noticeable change is the addition of a new five-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The unit incorporates Bluetooth, capacitive (soft-touch) touch screen, SD card, USB, navigation powered by ‘Map My India’ and a rear view camera (not sure if the camera comes as standard across the range).

FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) India offers three year/1,00,000km comprehensive warranty with service intervals at every 15,000km.
