Bentley teases video of its upcoming SUV

Bentley, the British luxury carmaker has now come up with a teaser video of its upcoming SUV, while prior to this video the manufacturer has also teased a picture of this SUV playing in tough desert and sand around. The SUV is said to be launched by the year 2016 and as stated by the company, the SUV will be the "world’s most powerful and luxurious SUV."

The tagline of the teaser video reads “We don’t see lines. We see light.” The whole video is shooted in a tunnel like background with lines keep on changing. Though one thing is clear from the video that the upcoming car will be a full fledged SUV and will compete with the likes of Mercedes GL and ML Class. The SUV seems to be influenced by the front profile of Continental GT while the rear resembles a bit to Flying Spur. Moreover, the manufacturer showed its EXP 9F concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and it is expected that the upcoming SUV will be an improved version of the concept.

Earlier, the Bentley had revealed that the company will invest more than £800 million in next three years at its headquarters in Crewe. The majority of fund will be used for the development of new models as till now, the company only manufactures its iconic Mulsanne, Continental & Flying Spur, and with the production of SUV, the automaker looks for new opportunities in US and China from where the majority of sales comes from.

The upcoming SUV will be produced in Crewe, Cheshire, England and aims to provide employment to more than 1000 people. 90 new engineers are hired who will work to make this dream come true. Nothing is disclosed on the part of engine specification. However, this new SUV will be put against the likes of the top-end variants of Land Rover, Range Rover and Porsche Cayenne.

Recently, the company celebrated its 95th anniversary and to commemorate the achievement, manufacturer had unveiled 15 unique ‘Mulsanne 95’ models. For these 'Special Editions' exquisite colour scheme of Britannia Blue, Empire Red and Oxford White was used.

Even the interiors got special 95 logos which were embarked on seats and inserted on the LED scuff plates. In the year 2013, Bentley sold 10,120 cars as compared to 8,510 units in 2012. The company witnessed a growth of 19 percent and look forward to retail more than 15,000 cars by 2018.
