for sDrive 20d Exclusive

I bought the X1 after considering a lot of other options -  C250, A4, 320d. It really is an outstanding car! Look and Style Fantastic to look at especially the Deep Sea Blue as it adds character to the aggressive looking car. Definitely a head turner. Comfort Up there with the best. PErhaps not in the same league as a Merc back seat ... but who cares about comfort when you are driving the Ultimate Driving Machine. The cabin space is very good and if you are not over 6 feet tall, there is a lot of leg room at the back and front. Lacks the cubby holes that you find in a Skoda. Seats are a bit on the firmer side. The boot is big with the seats upright and can swallow a nano when they are folded.  The ride quality is very good and the high ground clearance inspires a lot of confidence while driving. Head and shoulders above the merc whcih scraped every speed breaker on the road. Pickup Ecstatic !! It just pulls like a locomotive from zero and just keeps on accelerating. HArd to drive this car with a restrained right foot. Best Features Fantastic looks, unbeatable performance, and not to mention the handling especially high speed manners. I also like the utility of the vehicle as it has loads of space at the back. The dash is simple and elegant and easy to use. All the advanced features are tucked away unlike a merc which has 150 buttons and lights on the console. Of course the build quality is exceptional. Needs to improve Provide more options for the price. There is no cruise control, no front PDC, rear camera and many other features that even lower end cars. My Skoda Laura perhaps had more options than this. So the premium one has to pay for the propeller badge is enormous. Overall Experience Simply love it. Nothing comes close. Everything just seems perfect.

Are you mad....have you never driven a car that you're saying the steering wheel is light.....its steering wheel is worse than a non-power-steering tata indica!!!

That is because you have always driven only electronic power assisted steering wheels, try driving hydraulic power driven steering wheels and it is hard to drive, yes those steering wheels do give good feedback from the road rather than giving you a slippery feeling as in case of electronic steering wheels which in effect means you cannot speed up confidently above 120 kmph

Hi, I have purchased this car 20d version on 27th of Dec 2011 and till date done Calcutta Varanasi ,Calcutta Puri about 3000km, not a single complain on highway , it is smooth when you try to overtake even on single road, by using sports mode the car is just fantastic,I got milage about 16km so far,the car is so beautiful when I have parked outside of a Puri beach side hotel, I have noticed from my Hotel window that couples are taking photograph where BMW X1is in the middle.never ride on the back seat can't comment.

I thought I would update my experience after a month of ownership Done about 1500 KMs urban and extra-urban. It has returned a mileage of 14KMPL. Highway mileage with restrained driving (max 110kmph) is around 18KMPL - very good for a car of this weight and this powerful. Haven't had any issues so far with the car. Took a little time to get used to the weighty steering. Took the car on highways and on hilly terrain with some bad roads and the run flats have responded very well. Ride quality has been very good.
