Maruti Swift LDI SP Limited Edition is a new variant launched for this line up. It comes with minor updates for the exterior, interior and comfort facets. Revisions to the grille and the headlamp area give it an improved structure, while fog lamps add to the safety element. Well balanced dimensions also add to the exterior vigour, with a length of 3850mm and a width of 1695mm. The cabin has been done up with a stylish and modern vision, with the benefit of trendy accents and rich upholstery. New comfort features have been added, including an integrated audio system. A remote back door opener, a remote fuel lid opener and a tilt steering column together elevate the drive quality. The vehicle is powered by a turbocharged diesel engine, which makes for strong performance as well as decent fuel earnings. The company has conditioned the engine to meet the BS4 emission standards.

Exteriors:

The exterior of the machine receives minor tweaks that help to renew its overall appeal. At the front, it wears the same grille with the company's emblem adorned over it. The cabin has been laid out with skilful appliance, ensuring a maximised usage of the limited space. The seats are wide and comfortable, and the presence of rich upholstery adds to the ride delight. The sporty wrap-around door trims are great looking, and they provide a distinctive feel for the cabin. The drivers gets the benefit of a three spoke sporty steering wheel, which enables a strong grip and good look at the same time. Silver accents have been applied to the trims, suffusing the cabin with a more lavish and opulent theme. Aside from good looks, a host of utility functions have also been incorporated into the cabin, ranging from a ticket holder, a parcel shelf, a front door trim pocket, a sun visor and room lamp.

Engine and Performance:

Powering the vehicle is a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine, which displaces 1248cc. It has 4 cylinders and 16 valves incorporated together. The company has integrated the plant with a 5 speed manual transmission, which ensures hassle free shifting and better performance. It unleashes a power of 74bhp at 4000rpm, together with a torque of 190Nm at 2000rpm. The engine has also been armed with a fixed geometry turbocharger along with an intercooler.

Braking and Handling:

For the braking requirements, the company has adorned the front wheels with ventilated discs, and the rear wheels with drums. The rack and pinion type steering system also boosts control and stability. Coming to the chassis section, the front axle has been rigged with a McPherson strut, while the rear axle has been equipped with a Torsion beam. In addition to this, the electronic power steering system also strengthens control when driving.

Comfort Features:

The rear seats come with a 60:40 split arrangement, giving a convenience of increasing storage space. Then, there is an engine push start function, an accessory socket for charging devices, a cup holder in the centre console, and a manual air conditioning system. For this new edition, updated features include a remote and central locking system and power windows for all doors. The front seat has a back pocket, giving added storage facility for the occupants. A remote back door opener also relieves strain for the driver. An integrated audio system is present for the entertainment needs of the passengers, and it comes along with four speakers and a USB port. Bluetooth facility is also present, giving passengers the option of hosting calls within the car, and streaming audio files through their devices.

Safety Features:

Rear parking sensors are a new feature for this edition. Beside this, there are 3 point ELR seatbelts that guarantee safety for the occupants. Rear child door locks provide additional safety for the presence of children. Head restraints are present at the front and rear, making for comfort as well as safety. Also present are a dual horn, a high mounted stop lamp and side impact beams by the doors. A security alarm system ordains safety for the vehicle as well.
