Maruti Suzuki SX4 test drive revealed that the car has excellent handling with a good suspension system. SX4 model comes with the different wheel options as per the variants. Like the base variants comes with steel wheels while the high end variant of the car comes with alloy wheels. Maruti SX4 has tubeless tyres 15 inch size for base model and 16 inch size for the high end model. The brake mechanism of the car is also very good; in the front the car has ventilated disc brakes while in the rear it has drum brakes. The suspension of the car includes the independent suspension with gas filled McPherson strut and anti roll bar in the front and semi independent torsion beam with gas filled shock absorbers in the rear. The handling of the SX4 sedan is improved by the EPS steering wheel with the 4 speed automatic gearbox and the 5 speed manual transmission. The 1.6L VVT engine is enthralling as it generates an amazing power which readily accelerates the car from 0-100 kmph in 12.1 seconds.
