Ford GT40: Le Mans champion and Ferrari beater.
The GT 40 is called so because it is approximately 40 inches tall and today this icon from the 60's is still being manufactured at Port Elizabeth, south Africa. In 1963, when Enzo Ferrari did not sell his company to Ford, Henry Ford II made a deal with the British sports car manufacturer- Lola, to develop their Mark 6 into a Ferrari beating Le Mans champion. The car won back to back titles in 1968 and then in 1969. Today the car is manufactured with a much more modern approach and to such precision that their cars are eligible for official GT40 registry.
