In an interesting turn of events, Chetan Maini, founder of Reva, has resigned as CEO of the electric car company that is owned by Mahindra. Chetan Maini founded Reva twenty year ago and now he will be replaced by former Managing Director of Ford India, Mr Arvind Mathew.

Mahindra Reva announced that it would launch its next generation electric vehicle, the e2o, on 18th March 2013 in New Delhi. The Mahindra e2o (powered by Reva) is the embodiment of the Mahindra Group’s vision of the Future of Mobility for a sustainable tomorrow. It was unveiled at the last Auto Expo in New Delhi during January 2012.

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd has been featured in the prestigious ‘Fast Company’ magazine listing of the Top 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2013. Mahindra Reva was ranked at number 22 for its innovative contributions to the global electric vehicle industry. The Fast Company listing features businesses that are creating the greatest impact across their industries and culture as a whole.
