South Korean automaker SsangYong will unveil its new XLV concept at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show in March. The XLV is a B-segment SUV concept featuring significantly lower CO2 emissions thanks to its mild hybrid system which combines a 1.6-litre diesel engine with an electric motor powered by a lithium ion battery.

The XLV concept measures 4,430mm in length, 1845mm in width and 1,600mm in height, making it 290mm longer than the XIV-1 concept. With a larger wheelbase of 2,600mm, the concept accommodate seven passengers in an innovative 2+2+2+2 arrangement, where the seventh seat slides between the second and third rows for optimum flexibility.

Showcasing SsangYong’s new design philosophy ‘Nature born 3 motion’, this latest concept projects a rhythmical and dynamic exterior design and is aimed at appealing to the smart user who is active and seeks individuality and practicality.
