    Skoda Superb Facelift

Now, the Superb was launched in India in early 2009 and has been doing some good sales numbers. However, with the flagship reaching its mid-life, the Czech-based automotive manufacturer is due to make some minor changes to give it a refresh look. As we can see it in the images, the front bumper has been redesigned with be redone headlamps and fogs, and a minor tweak has been made to the front grille as well. The rear includes some minor changes to the tail lamps as they are larger in size.

We expect the refreshed Superb to be available in India by the festive season. The Superb will be available with 1.8-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TDI engine options. There is a possibility that Skoda will up the ante of the diesel-powered engine to produce close to 170bhp, like its distinct cousin the Volkswagen Passat. The pricing of the Superb won’t change much, however we could see some new features like seat air-conditioner to strengthen its case or possibly even satellite navigation as new features. We had recently also done an exclusive where we mentioned that Volkswagen has discontinued the Passat.
