Ford to unveil Mondeo based 'global SUV' at 2013 LA Motor Show
While the 2013 LA Motor Show is around the corner, the globally recognized carmakers are doing their final preparations to make this event a remarkable one. The American car manufacturer, Ford is working on an all-new "global SUV", which will be showcased for the first time at the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show in November. According to media reports the large SUV to debut will be the European Edge, which is expected to hit the market by 2014.

The European Edge will be based on the Mondeo platform, and the new 'global SUV' will become the largest SUV in Europe. It will be the company's third SUV to enter the European market, the other two Ford SUVs are EcoSport compact crossover and the Focus-based Kuga. The new model will compete against the likes of Volkswagen Touareg and Volvo XC90.
Ford has recently announced that it will manufacture vehicles keeping global scenario in mind, and the new 'global SUV' is also the company's product to be launched across the world. The vehicle will first launch in Europe, and then will be introduced in other markets. It is early to comment whether it will come to India or not, but the SUV friendly environment could bring this 'global SUV' to our doors as well.
