In terms of introducing cutting edge technology, the company has plans to introduce industry first features along with its existing SYNC technology which has been received well by the consumers, mentioned Nigel.

“Our focus is on increasing manufacturing technology”. Therefore there are plans of having 6 major facilities in Asia Pacific Region. We estimate that by 2015 new products would start rolling of the line from these facilities. “India is going to be third largest market”, said Harris.  Furthermore, he added that we expect 7 million units to be sold by 2020. As far as exports are concerned from an Indian perspective they would increase three fold.  Nigel stressed that from India, Ford Cars would be exported to more than 60 markets.

“Happy Pocket Service”, is another unique initiative that the company has introduced. Its aim is to provide the customer a unique experience when it comes to after sale services. Therefore customer satisfaction is a key area of focus for Ford India.
