    At the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, BMW launched the all-new 3 Series Gran Turismo at Rs. 42.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle has been locally produced at the BMW plant in Chennai and will be made available at all the BMW dealerships across the country from March 2014. Bookings for the car have already been commenced. The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo will be available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in the following four metallic paintworks: Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Imperial Blue Brilliant and Sparkling Brown. It comes equipped with a powerful formed front end, a stretched silhouette with coup estyle roofline, frameless side windows and a flowing rear end with large load aperture. It also comes equipped with an active rear spoiler, which provides visual lightness and reduces lift at touring speeds. It is automatically deployed at 110kmpg and retracted at speeds below 70kmph. The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo has a 520-litre of boot space, which can be extended up to 1,600 litres. 

    Under the hood, the BMW 3 Series GT gets the 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a max power output of 184bhp and 380Nm of top torque. It accelerates to 100kmph from stand still in mere 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 226kmph.
