Wagon R is one of the largest selling hatchback models present in the market today. During this festive season, the company has added two new variants in its lineup. It has also included safety elements like dual front airbags as well as ABS in its mid range trim named Maruti Wagon R VXI Optional. There are also other attributes like driver seat belt warning lamp, rear defogger, and high mount stop lamp for enhancing security. This particular trim is equipped with a 1.0-litre petrol drive train that is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission gear box. Talking about exteriors, it has been developed with the “tall boy” design in mind. This can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kmph in about 18 to 19 seconds besides attaining a top speed of nearly 152 Kmph.

Braking and Handling:

Its braking system is highly reliable wherein ventilated disc brakes are fitted to its front wheels and drum brakes to the rear ones. The ABS is also present, which further boosts this mechanism. The suspension system comprises of a McPherson strut on its front axle, while an isolated trailing link is used at the rear. Coil springs on both these axles further provides assistance.
