July 03, 2012: In order to stronghold its position in the Indian market Aston Martin has launched a new model, Vanquish with a price tag of Rs. 3.85 crore . This luxury sports car from the stables of this company is the fifth model in its fleet after Vantage, DB9, DBS and the Rapide. It is the successor of DBS and carries the same silhouette; just like some years back DBS took its design cues from the One-77. Underneath the hood sits a 6-litre V12 engine that yields over 568bhp of power and 620Nm of torque value, all of which is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. Despite being a single clutch unit, the gearbox offers amazing performance that propels the car from zero to 100 kph in just 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 295kmph . This new model is available as a 2 2 or 2 0, sits atop a broad line-up of world-class sports cars including the exquisite DB9, sporty V8 Vantage and luxurious four-door Rapide.
