My First Car In Life

My First Car In Life

I am driving the new (2018 model) Honda Amaze (V) diesel, and it truly lives up to its name of "Amazing". The car's size has grown in all dimensions, giving it a proper sedan appearance with a longer and taller bonnet. The roofline extends far back, providing rear passengers with a good view of the outside. The new tail lamp adds a new character to the car, although the tail is still quite stubby. The back seat space has always been a hallmark of the Honda Amaze, and it has improved even further in the new model. The legroom is quite enough for back passengers, and headroom is slightly okay for a sedan. Cup and bottle holders have been added for rear passengers, and thigh support is also great. The only rare negative is the fixed headrest. The boot space of 420 L is the best in its segment. Moving on to the interiors, the front row was a pleasant surprise for me. Honda has made it look very premium, similar to the Honda City. The piano black finish on the dashboard looks beautiful, and the plastic quality is excellent. The dual-tone colour scheme of black and beige feels premium, and the air conditioner control switches look good as well. Honda has maintained its quality standards in interior design. In terms of functionality, the car is loaded with features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation. It also has a rear parking camera sensor, keyless entry, and a power start button. The performance is impressive with smooth driving in both city traffic and on highways. The car doesn't lag anywhere, although the engine noise during hard acceleration can be a little frustrating, which is rare in Honda cars. The lag can be controlled in sports mode, but it increases the noise level. One downside is that the diesel automatic doesn't have pedal shift gears. However, it is excellent for relaxed driving. Cruise control is not available in my variant, but it is offered in other variants. The fuel economy is amazing, reaching around 15-17 KMPL, which is great for an automatic.
