Honda City at a Glance

Now Sportier
New alloys and sharper body creases make this City look far more upmarket than the one it replaces.

Premium Lighting
The connected LED DRLs and neat tail lamps help the City look modern and premium.

6 Colour Options
Apart from the usual white and silver, it looks smashing in red and blue as well.

Practicality
Physical buttons for the essentials make life easy on the road. This makes the car friendlier to drive for parents and older drivers.

Impressive Cabin Quality
Soft-touch panels and smooth plastics make the cabin feel like it belongs to a segment above.

Rear Space
Three adults fit here without anyone complaining. A genuine win, as three in the backseat is usually a tight fit.

Massive Boot
The large 506L boot space means you can easily keep multiple large suitcases in addition to smaller bags and loose items.

Loaded Variants
You don't need the top trim to get the basics. An 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and automatic climate control are present in the V variant.

Smart Touchscreen
The 10.1-inch screen supports gesture control and wireless Android Auto and CarPlay. We wish the clarity was better.

Key Features
Front seat ventilation, a sunroof and a wireless charger are features you'd normally only find on SUVs costing more.

Engine Choices
A 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol or the strong hybrid — that's it. Pick the petrol for city commutes and the hybrid for higher running or sporty driving.

Mileage
The hybrid's claimed 27.26kmpl is excellent. This is one of the most efficient sedans you can buy without going electric.

Smooth CVT
Excellent automatic. Traffic jams won't bother you, and the hybrid's CVT even delivers power without the usual rubber-band feel.

Standard Safety
6 airbags, ESC, TPMS, hill-start assist and a rear-view camera come on every single City variant.

ADAS
A 360-degree camera, lane-watch camera and ADAS give you more visibility and ease of driving than most sedans in this price bracket offer.

NCAP Rating
While this City is yet to be tested, the pre-facelift City's 4-star Global NCAP score still holds up.

Honda City Price
City has 8 variants from ₹12L across 1.5L i-VTEC Petrol (MT/CVT) and 1.5L i-MMD self-charging hybrid (e:HEV) — Honda's flagship sedan that started feeling premium decades ago and still does. SV (₹12L CVT) covers the basics with 6 airbags, ESC, ABS, the 20.32cm touchscreen with Android Auto + CarPlay, fabric seats, projector halogen headlamps and 16-inch alloys. V (from ₹13.51L) adds the single-pane sunroof, smart key push start, automatic climate, electric folding ORVMs, rear AC vents and full LED headlamps. ZX (from ₹15.47L) steps up to LaneWatch blind-spot camera, leather seats, 8-speaker audio, paddle shifters, wireless charger and one-touch turn signals — proper premium kit. ZX Plus (from ₹16.36L) adds Alexa connect, ambient lighting and the rear seat reminder. ZX Plus Hybrid (₹21.36L) tops it off with the i-MMD e:HEV self-charging hybrid delivering 27.13 km/l, full Honda Sensing ADAS Level 2 and EV-mode silent crawl in city traffic. Most buyers land at ZX CVT (₹16.47L) — 6 airbags, leather, LaneWatch, sunroof, wireless CarPlay and CVT auto — without paying ~₹4.89L extra for ZX Plus Hybrid's e:HEV (27.13 km/l) and Honda Sensing ADAS L2.

- 30K Kms Review On 5th Gen Honda CityI have the 5th Gen purchased during 2021. I have so far clocked 38K kms. A few pros and cons are listed below pros 1. Car is butter smooth to drive. Suspension is on the soft side and rear passenger comfort is the best 2. I get a mileage of 22kms on highways being driven around 80Kmph. In city like Bengaluru I get 14kms on average traffic flows 3. Steering has brilliant response and associates heft. Gives great confidence on highways Cons 1. Noise insulation is poor. External noise is heard includes wind noise and engine noise when driven around 80Kmph 2. Ground clearance is poor when run with full load of 4 people . I have to be cautious on speed breakers 3. Paint thickness is somehow not upto the mark 4. Maintenance costs are on the higher side approx 18K per year.Read More3
