    Skoda Octavia

Then we saw two generations of the Laura, which were in reality the Octavia brand in overseas market. Now, we will witness the launch of the new Octavia in the next few days. The Octavia will be launched with three engine options, one is diesel and the other two are petrol. The 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre turbo petrol and the 2.0-litre diesel. The 1.8-litre petrol will be available with seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the diesel will come with an option of six-speed manual or dual-clutch self-shifting transmission.

The new Octavia is bigger in dimensions when compared to the previous-generation and the Laura will also be discontinued from the launch of this new Octavia. The Octavia will have day-time running LEDs only the top-of-the-line, else the other variants get incandescent bulbs as DRLs. The pricing will be somewhere close to the Jetta, which is a cousin and competition to the Octavia. Please read our expert review on the Octavia.
