Renault to launch Duster 4x4 automatic in Russia next year

Renault, the French automaker is planning to introduce the automatic transmission option in the all-wheel drive Duster in 2014. And the same has been confirmed by Renault Russia. As per the company, this variant has been especially developed for the Russian market.

Renault Russia already sells urban SUV duster in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options, and the 2WD option is already available with a four-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Unlike India, Renault Duster is being sold in three engine options in Russia- a 1.6-litre petrol, 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Other than the 2WD option with four-speed automatic gearbox, other variants have 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

Since the company hasn't revealed the exact details, there is no certainly which one of the 1.6-litre 4x4 will or the 1.5-litre diesel 4x4 will come with the automatic transmission. Here in India, we don't have any of the Duster variant in automatic transmission option, though we can get one sometime in 2014.
