Renault Duster to be Available With 5+2 Seat Option- Scoop

Seeing the overwhelming response of the Renault Duster in India and the demand rising for the 7 Seater version of the compact SUV, Renault India has now come up with an exciting scheme under which, the Duster will now be available with 5+2 seat option as a dealer fitment. An extra set of seats will be accommodated in the boot. The information has been disclosed to CarDekho by none another than Renault India’s MD Marc Nassif.

The Renault Duster which was launched in India on 4^th of July is basically a 5-seater compact crossover, in which the enough boot space has been provided, to be precise, a luggage space of about 475 litre. Up to 475 litre of boot space must have inspired Renault India to utilize it for a better purpose, ie replacing it with two extra seats. This will not just fulfill the rising demand for a 5+2 seater version of the Duster; will also help it gaining the competitive edge over most rivals including the Scorpio, Tata Safari and others that are 7-seater.

Although, what extra amount will be charged to fit these extra seats has not been disclosed, we hope an extra sum of Rs 10,000 will help it turn a 7-seater. FYI, Renault Duster’s price starts from 7.19 lakh, whereas the top end variant costs about Rs 11.29 lakh. (Price are ex-Showroom, New Delhi)
