Mahindra & Mahindra, Indian automobile giant want to add a new feather in their cap by entering in 4-meter cars segment with its grand hatchback MUV Mahindra Xylo Mini. This new compact variant of Mahindra's popular SUV is expected to imbibe all the qualities of the parent model Mahindra Xylo Mini.  Recent reports states that Indian automobile giant Mahindra Auto will release Mahindra Xylo Mini in Auto Expo 2012 where all car makers vouch to unveil new cars and concepts. This new compact version of Mahindra's popular SUV is expected to bear all the specifications of its parent version “Mahindra Xylo SUV”. As per speculations, Mahindra mini Xylo price is expected to touch the mark of Rs. 5 lakh for base variant and the costing can go to Rs 6 lakh also. 

The car is expected to be crafted with same robust and an aggressive looks that are brand image of Mahindra Xylo standard. However, Mahindra Auto’s compact car “Mahindra Xylo Mini” will shed some of the high-end luxurious features to make the Mahindra Xylo Mini price adjustable to Rs. 5 lakh in comparison with its standard Mahindra Xylo price which is Rs. 7 lakh plus. Body Color Bumpers, Tachometer, Trip Meter, Rear Seat Belts, A/C without climate control feature, Power windows, Central Locking, Remote Fuel Filler, Rear Wiper, Manual Driver Seat Adjustment, Optional Music System, Rear A/C Vent and much more is expected of Mahindra Xylo Mini. It is expected that Mahindra Xylo mini will come with the punch line “Small happy legs”.

The B+ segment Mahindra Xylo mini will be powered by 1.5 liter turbocharged CRDi engine inspired from Mahindra 2.2 Liter M-Hawk CRDI diesel engine range ensuring free flow of oil and excellent on-road performance. The engine will be available with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission gearbox but information regarding the Mahindra Xylo Mini variants is still under the wrap. Just like the interior and exterior designs of Standard Mahindra Xylo, the aesthetic interiors and stupendous exteriors of Mahindra Xylo Mini are going to create a “charismatic experience” for buyers. This 5-seater and 5-door small car of Mahindra is expected to hold all the comfort and safety attributes which made the parent Mahindra Xylo – one of the most popular MUV in India. As per reports, the comprehensive details of Mahindra Xylo mini specifications are still to be declared by the company but it is speculated that this 4-meter car will have a 1.5 liter turbocharged CRDi engine under the hood. This engine is supposed to be taken from Mahindra 2.2 Liter M-Hawk CRDI diesel engine range. Other variants are yet to be disclosed by the company but sources commented that engine will have displacement of 1498cc with 3 Cylinder. Also, just like Standard Mahindra Xylo, the mini version will encompass a 5-Speed Manual Transmission that offers soft and quick shifting of gears. The high powered engine of Mahindra Xylo Mini is expected to deliver a mileage of 10+ kmpl in the city and 15+ kmpl on the highways.

The information regarding Mahindra Xylo mini engine is still being speculated but sources commented that Mahindra Auto would like to keep the power standard just like Standard Mahindra Xylo version or near to it. It is being said that Mahindra Xylo will be packed with an engine capacity of 1498cc and a 5 Speed Manual Transmission for smooth gear shifting experience. The in-line type engine with 3 Cylinders is expected to be packed with CRDi fuel supply system. Mahindra Xylo Mini specifications like Mahindra Xylo mini power generation and torque distribution are yet to be known, but it is guaranteed that Mahindra Auto is going to work up to the reputation and will deliver perfect all-terrain hatchback vehicle.

However, with Mahindra Auto planning to make Mahindra mini Xylo price down to Rs. 5lakh, it is possible that car comes with absence of some high-end features.  It is worth mentioning that Mahindra Xylo mini is expected to arrive on roads with stylish features like door pads with leather interiors, chromed inner door handles, sporty cockpit, Leather wrapped Gear, drive selection and parking brake levers, wood print panels, multimeter, dual tone leather upholstery.

Mahindra mini Xylo is definitely going to very elegant luxurious MUV that is most likely to combine functionality and style. The car is expected to be equipped with 15 inch alloy wheels just like the standard Mahindra Xylo.
