Nissan offers the CVT (continuously variable transmission) unit in two trim levels in the Micra hatchback - XL and XV. In the XV CVT variant, the automatic gearbox comes mated to a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 77PS of power and 104Nm of torque. There is no variant of the Nissan Micra on sale which has the same petrol engine but offers a manual transmission. The XV CVT returns a fuel-efficiency of 19.34kmpl, which is lower than the 23.08kmpl of the diesel-powered Micra. The Nissan Micra XV CVT is one of the cheapest hatchbacks that offers a two-pedal setup. The CVT has five modes in its configuration - park, reverse, neutral, drive and low.

The 175/60 section tyres on the Nissan Micra XV CVT come wrapped around 15-inch alloy wheels. The hatchback comes with a 41-litre fuel tank, 251 litres of boot space and 4.65 metres of minimum turning radius. Since this is the top-of-the-line XV variant, it comes loaded with features like automatic climate control, rear window defogger with timer, intelligent key with push button start, electronically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, dual airbags, height adjustable driver seat, rear wiper, centre console with piano black finish and front fog lamps with chrome finish.

The Micra is offered in seven different shades of paint - Sunshine Orange, Brick Red, Storm White, Night Shade, Onyx Black, Blade Silver and Turquoise Blue. The Sunshine Orange body paint option was introduced with the updated Nissan Micra, launched on September 6, 2016.

The Nissan Micra XV CVT goes up against the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 AT, Maruti Suzuki Ignis AMT and the Ford Figo AT.
