Tata's Indica Vista is a flagship model of the company and won overwhelming customer response and two prestigious auto awards in India. The Tata Indica Vista Electric will become the second electric car to be exported from India followed by Reva's G-Wiz. The electric variant of Tata Indica Vista is equipped with Prem magnet motor a.k.a. super polymer lithium ion batteries which is regarded as superior than traditional batteries. Owing to this kind of super batteries, the electric Tata Indica Vista Electric will be more powerful and faster than its gasoline and diesel variants exist in India. The battery pumps out 55 kw of peak power at 4,000 rpm and generates 160 Nm of top torque at 1750 rpm. The battery capacity is, according to Tata Motors, 26.5 kwh.
The electric car of Tata will have a peak speed of around 151 kmph. In a single charge, the car is claimed to go up to 200km that is an attractive piece of engineering by Tata Motors. The charging time of batteries may be around 8 hours. Equipped with super power batteries, the car will touch 0-30kmph sprint in just 4.5 seconds and 0-60 kmph in just under 10 seconds, another amazing fact about the car. The car has one speed FWD.
The five door electric hatchback has a seating capacity of 4 passengers. The vehicle is learnt to have 2 airbags only for driver and front passenger. Apart from flowing lines and sports dynamic, the car is not different from its predecessor. The front face of the car comes in the typical Tata style-smiling face. The exterior appearance of the car is similar to its base model and possesses the same smiling face at front which is comprised of smiling grille, headlamps, lower grille and fog lamps. A chrome finished strip is added at the top of honeycomb radiator grille. Right below the upper grille, bumper is fitted with round fog lamps. The larger headlamp cluster houses headlight and turn indicators. The bumper of the vehicle will be in body colour with a black strip at front and rear side. The electric car is blessed with opposing rain wipers in black shade. Rear side view mirrors are in body colour while the mirrors handles are in black shade. The RVMs is expected to be electric powered. The car has got a large glass house for driver's convenience. Apart from RVMs, the door handles are also in body colour.
The hatch portion of the car is also designed in a artistic way. Tail-lights are packed in a vertical shaped cluster which houses brake light, reserve light and turn indicator. The top of the tail-light cluster touches the roofline. As a result. the hatch is larger and provides wide opening. Body colour rear bumper is fitted with reflectors and number plate. Body colour roofline is present at the top of the car that also gives it a stunning look. Rear wiper is also there.

According to insiders, the interior of the Tata Indica Vista Electric is mind blogging. The interiors design is expected in dual tone treatment with thin surface of floor. The dashboard of the car will be more spacious and would sport traditional instrument panel located at the center. Ac vents will found their place at both sides of the audio system in rectangular shape. However, no footrest for the driver. It is also reported that car will have power steering which is to come in three spokes. But don't expect steering mounted audio controls. A larger storage space must be there in front of front passenger as this is identical to Tata cars. Bottle holder at right down the center of dashboard and door pockets might support magazine like stuff only. The audio system would be standard comprising CD/MP 3 player with six-speakers. USB/bluetooth connectivity would enhance the multimedia features.
For all the seats, headroom and legroom would be ensured but doubtful those who are more than six feet tall. The seats must be ample cushion and large back rest. We don't expect power windows and foldable seats as well in Tata Indica Vista Electric. But as the trademark of Tata, doors opening will be up to 90 degree for easy access.
As far as comfort in Tata Indica Vista Electric is concerned, it will be of top quality and class leading. Tata's never compromise on this aspect as Tata cars are known as people's car altogether. So we can expect more headroom and legroom area for all the passengers. The roof of the car is to come in thin layer which is a move to provide enough headroom for all. Apart from that, slender flooring would be added for the same. Even though, three passengers at rear seat would be a bad idea. Storage space would not be a big concern as plenty of space for storage might be there to name a few including bottle holder, magazine holder at doors, glovebox and massive boot. The boot would be more spacious and neat looking. The boot space is also more on account of vertical rear indicator cluster. Spring loaded grab handle bars are general for the Tata cars in India.
