The Kia Sonet is the third model from Kia Motors India and arguably the most important. It enters the hotly contested compact SUV segment currently dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Sonet's own cousin, the Hyundai Venue. Other rivals include the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Ford EcoSport. With three engines (two petrol, one diesel) and several gearboxes (manual, iMT, torque-converter auto, DCT) spread over a wide price range, buyers have a lot to choose from. The Kia Sonet also offers a long equipment list including various segment-first or best features, like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, cooled front seats, ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, connected car tech, and more.
