I've been driving the new Rapid since Dec 01 2016 and it's a pleasure to drive. I went in for the top end diesel auto, with the DSG gearbox. It's power on tap, with amazing torque even at relatively lower RPMs. All that power and if the IC readings are to be believed it even manages close to 19-20 kmpl on highway/early morning runs. Peak traffic conditions look like a conservative 14-15 kmpl, which isn't bad at all. The diesel is slightly clattery at low speeds, but that seems to be the only issue that I have with this car. It stays planted at high speeds and one needs to keep an eye on the speedometer one wouldn't even realise when the car crosses 120-130. It's feature-packed with everything one needs from height adjustable driver seat + steering/cruise control/cooled glovebox/rain sensing wipers/auto dimming rear view mirror, the list is exhaustive. The centrepiece (literally) though is the touchscreen with FM/Phone/Bluetooth. The mirror link never worked for me, though. Rear seat space is decent though the City and the Ciaz are better in that department, I suspect. Comfortably seats 3 in the rear, though rear AC vent may result in slight discomfort to the passenger in the middle. The 'Flash red' colour lives up to its name and is a head turner. All in all, having a blast ever since I went with the Rapid.
