hi abhishek congratulation for your Fabia Elegance. Rightly said its fabulous. I think Polo can come close to Fabia. After all they are from the same family :). I am a proud owner of Fabia Ambiente 1.2Petrol and my experience has been delighting so far. Only thing that concerns me is how good will after sales service be ,although it's only once a year or every 15k km (whichever is earlier). Once again congrats and keep us posted.

Thanks and congrats to you also, Simanta. As far as ASS is concerned, I am keeping my fingers crossed. I do hope that Skoda has learned from its past mistakes. Its a buyer's market and becoming increasingly competitive so if one person badmouths, Skoda will lose many customers. So they better get it right this time.

I am extremely confused whether to buy a skoda fabia or vw polo diesel..... as in the budget it is likely that tax gets implemented on diesel cars I want to buy a car in the next week itself.... Fabia is best when it comes to driving,interiors,brakes,space,luggage space and everything... I am just concerned about the After sales services as I have heard that it is not good....

Hi divji, I went through the same dilemma but chose Fabia over Swift, Polo, i20, etc. Most of the stories about ASS of Skoda were old and few of my friends who had purchased Fabia recently were quite happy with their choice. Honestly they have not yet experienced Skoda ASS as they bought in late 2010 or 2011. However, now the parts are being manufactured in India and not imported from Czech so this has hopefully brought down the cost of parts. There are two dealers now (I bought from Vinayaka) so there is bit of competition, which hopefully should/will improve service. But I can understand where you are coming from. Primary reason for me to buy Fabia was I had fallen for it to put is in the simplest manner possible. Once I test-drove Fabia, I did not like any other car that much. Its looks, interiors, safetty features and the overall feel was just very different. So I went with a car, which I love. I myself have not experienced Skoda's ASS so far so fingers crossed. So far the car has been good.

I bought the fabia elegance diesel in feb 2012 and I must say that it can overwhelm any low cost sedan. Excellent drive quality, suspension, interiors, security features. Skoda has paid attention to even the small things like a single click on the remote unlocking will unlock only the driver side and a double click will unlock all the doors. The multi utility readings give the top model a luxurious feeling. The rear windshield has a defogger and works really well in winters. The new fog lamps look simply awesome and give the vehicle a smiling look from the front.i personally didnt like the round fog lamps in the earlier version. I got the rear door nicked a few days after buying the vehicle and I must say that the repair work was done in a very neat manner at Jai Auto in New Delhi. The Service Head was really helpful and cordial and got the whole paper work done in a professional manner and the Zero Depriciation insurance policy helped save a lot :-) I just hope that the normal routine services are treated in the same manner and I am sure it will be The only minuses that i observed were the absence of automatic air conditioning and steering mounted stereo controls

I am also planning to buy a new car. I have already chosen two to three options which are vw polo, skoda fabia ambiente or i20. Only finalization is pending. I am more interested in skoda fabia. kindly suggest your option.
