Renault has adapted its new industrial strategy according to which it will focus on high value-added products’ in Europe. Renault also plans to expand its new car production in the potential markets like Brazil, India, Russia and China. Renault was criticized in the past by the analyst on staking too much in the European market. However, this time Renault has built its strategy considering that in mind.
Renault the French auto maker is all set to launch an all new electric car which is christened as Renault Zeo. Little did the company know that it would be sued for it. The company faced a lawsuit because of the name of the name of its new electric car's name Zoe which is yet to be launched in the auto market. “Zoe” is a popular name in France which means “life”. Parents of a girl child named “Zoe” have filled a lawsuit against the French car maker reasoning that the children with the same name will face annoyance and teasing from others. While, the court has ruled the case in the car maker's favour saying that parents have to prove that how a car name can effect the child.
With country's largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki, crossing 1 million car sales mark in a year, the auto industry in India has become center of attraction for the automobile makers around the world. All most all major car-makers around the world including Nissan, Renault, Toyota, Honda and Fiat, are working hard to place their respective small cars in Indian market. Nissan Micra, compact hatchback from Japan based car maker is all set to hit the road by July 2010.
