Premier Rio is packed with a 1.5L, 1489cc, Turbo diesel engine that produces 65PS of maximum power at 4000rpm with 152Nm of maximum torque at 2250rpm. and delivers high engine performance. This 1.5L, 1489cc Turbo diesel engine makes Premier Rio able to deliver great acceleration with excellent fuel efficiency. Earlier, auto experts were expecting that Premier Automobiles may also launch one more powerful version of Premier Rio that will be packed with the turbo diesel engine that delivers 98PS of maximum power as with the launch of this SUV company is directly going to compete with Maruti Gypsy, Mahindra Bolero and Mahindra Xylo. But the company official said that Premier Rio is not going to compete any other SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) in Indian market and it is a small model in comparison to others.

Premier Rio is an small SUV model which is powered by the comparatively lesser powered engine in comparison to the other available SUVs so it also lacks in terms of acceleration and overall engine performance but its highly competitive price tag that falls in the range of Rs 5 to 6 lacs. Will make appeal to many and attract many customers as it is the cheapest SUV in Indian auto market. The maximum power that Premier Rio delivered and its overall acceleration seems like any hatchback car. Premier Rio is a compact SUV and its overall size is much less than other SUVs as its length is 3.9 meters and its total width is 1.55 meters which is much lesser for any vehicle that comes under SUV segment but still it attracts to many customers who have to rum more in city as its compact size will surely offer comfortable driving experience in city traffic. The interior design of Premier Rio is impressive and its flexible interiors offer good luggage space inside the vehicle.

The company official said that initially Premier Rio will be available at its 20 dealerships across the India and the company plans to ramp up this number to 50 dealerships in next few months. These dealerships showroom will be different from those dealers who currently sell Premier commercial vehicles – Premier Roadstar and Premier Sigma.
