Baleno 2015-2022 1.2 CVT Alpha നിരൂപണം
Based on feedback from customers, Maruti Suzuki has decided to introduce the CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) in the top-spec Baleno Alpha variant. Earlier, the automatic option was only available with the 1.2-litre Delta and Zeta petrol variants.
The Maruti Baleno Alpha CVT is the result of consumers wanting a combination of an automatic gearbox and a top-spec car with features such as the bi-xenon headlamps and Suzuki�¢??s SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity. Since such a variant was not available before, customers had to do without these features if they needed the automatic gearbox.
Launched in July, the top-spec automatic version is expected to bring more car enthusiasts to Nexa showrooms, Maruti Suzuki's premium dealership outlets.
Powering the Alpha CVT is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that pumps out 84PS of power and 115Nm of peak torque. It gets all the features of the regular Alpha variant with the addition of the CVT.
Interestingly, the price of the Baleno Alpha CVT is almost the same as the hotter and faster Baleno RS which features a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
