engine makes a hell lot of noise

R u having Vento-diesel-highline or petrol.

I also have a skoda laura and comparing the noise with that of Laura I have come to the conclusion that engine sound is very high. not so much within cabin but outside definitely VENTO sounds like that of an INDICA.

no i will not accpet....if you compare laura with vento...is not fair...

I bought Vento petrol 2 months back . Intially engine sound was OK. After 300 Km it is HELL lot of noise is coming . I would say it is not worth for money.

only vento....

go for vento & only vento.. for loner run it is very good at today I had drived 32kilos...thattoo self drive alone drive...drivers friendliy car

Hi Keerthi, there is no comparison between the cars you've mentioned. Vento costs maximum of 10lacs, Cruze 16lacs and Kizashi 23lacs. I would recommend u to go go for Cruze in terms of design and performance. If you want a girl's car, go for the funky Beat.

Even i am planning to go for either of two. I will suggest you one simple thing and that is if you want features and futuristic designing then go for verna and if you want great built, handling & grip on road while you are on high speed but with conventional interior then go for vento.. I personally will recomend you vento as i have taken test drive of both of them and vento sounds impressive.. After all i will go with the safety thing first rather than materialistic features.. I hope you got it what i wanted to convey..

I agree with you. But if safety is the major concern, then Verna is the better choice. Its top end comes with 6 airbags!!!!

Sorry to revert back this way but who justifies that safety is only requires airbags ? What i wanted to convey is that the built quality of vento is much more better than that of verna. Airbags come into force after the impact is of higher degree and might harm inside.. Tje built quality of vento ensures that you will be much more safe than in verna.. I do agree that 6 airbags means a lot but still i preferred to be practical.. Waise engine of vento is somewhat like similar to polo in terms of noise. There is a lot of cabin noise in vento.. By the way what are views regarding optra magnum..

Hi Pratap Singhji. Optra is too old. It's been in the market for too long, but yet a nice car. At that price point, If going for petrol, Honda City is the best choice. If diesel, you know the choices. Where i hate the Vento is its looks, it looks too much like the Polo. Its hard to tell the difference between the two from long distance. Only the fog lamps design differs. Apart from that, its a fantastic car. I also agree with you that its better build than the Verna. If you ask me, people who wants a stylish car with more gadgets can go for Verna, People who wants a dignified car with a solid built quality can go for Vento. Driving enthusiasts can go for New Fiesta. What do you say Pratapji????

Agree with you mr. chanakya.. But i think new fiesta is too over priced as per the competition in the market.. Even the experts test driving this car says it should rather be competed with dezire.. I have droped my plan for magnum for the same reason which you gave and will go for gud options which gonna be available in the market in 2012 soon after the auto expo..

Hi Pratapji. I too feel that the new fiesta is over priced. Linea is also is a good option and is well built at that price range and got a a great value for money. The Nissan is launching Sunny which is expected to compete with below 10 lac segment cars. But its price is not yet confirmed. I know you'll not like this option, but Manza ELAN also is a nice car and has the best value for money.
