Wonderful Car from VW

for Diesel Highline

Wonderful Car from VW

Look and Style: Neatly styled sedan - nothing jazzy or sci-fi, sticking to the books and a well designed proper sedan in this segment. Interiors being more european, may find slightly unconvincing at the begining (especially if you are looking at the pics), but once you get in to the car and feel the build quality, would start appreciating the details and the overall fit and finish of interior as well - this is personal experience too. Comfort: One of the best spacious and comfortable car all around with an exception to the centre hump in the rear row whereby fitting in a 3rd adult would be challenging. 4 adult and a kid is the best bet! Leaving this apart, the spacious seats, powerful Climatronic AC, rear AC vents, intelligent MID, steering controls (in highline version), and some nice little VW's touches like window up/down controls in remote key etc. makes it special and very comfortable car. The naggy thing that most of the VW Vento owners would complain of is the engine noise and the way it passes through the clutch pedal and the gear knobs (most annoying one if I have to say). Pickup: One of the best in this segment and must admit that it took me to my suprise on the sheer power the diesel engine manages to generate out to meet my enthusiasm at times :) Quite amazing. Mileage: Because of the powerful engine, its the driver's discretion to choose the right mode of driving. Based on the driving habits and the amount you punish the engine purely because of the passion quotient, mileage in city could be 14 to 16 kms and between 17 to 20 kms in highways. Best Features: As highlighted earlier, small VW touch like all window up/down function using standard remote key, intelligent MID with a lot of functions, auto AC with rear AC vents, no nonsense styling etc. Needs to improve: Engine grunt passing in to the cabin, vibrations to clutch and gear levers & centre hump in the rear. Overall Experience: Very good car coming from the best German maker for India. Nothing jazzy about it and having spent good 6+ months with this powerful diesel monster, I must admit, I had made a right choice though there were some close competition like Rapid and Verna (which is the segment leader in terms of selling, but somehow I do not like the jazziness of it in style cues and interiors). Must admit that am very satisfied in making this decision to go with Vento so far.
