Looks like Toyota compromised suspension quality in cutting cost by installing cheap Chinese suspension parts. I am hearing thud noise from front when i drive over imperfect rough roads and speed bumps. Car nose dives and hits every single bump when more than two adults travel in the car. very poor dampening. The car literally sits on the road and the road clearance decreases when loaded with passengers and moderately heavy things in the boot. This is quite apparent when we look behind the car with stuff loaded.
Toyota ruined a otherwise amazingly wonderful car that is more spacious than any other car in this class by having cheap parts,
I really wonder if Toyota tested this car thoroughly in Rural areas with lot of speed bumps and rough roads, its a shame Toyota I never expected a semi finished product like this. I have had Corolla/Camry in the past and a long time Toyota fan and admire their cars for rock solid reliability .
Toyota please issue a major recall of Etios and install a stiff suspension(Springs/front Struts/Rear Shocks) like how Fiat (installs suspension upgrade kit to increase the road clearance even for old fiat puntos) does.

I too face the same problem in suspension and otherwise the vehicle is good. I have informed some of my friends about this problem and had asked them to wait if Toyota rectifies it or go for some other vehicle.
yes liva having poor suspension is a well known problem and toyota must have taken note of this by now, i am really surprised why they are not taking any action to remedy this, i even sent an email to toyota japan through the email provided by another reviewer. is there any way to voice our concern about the suspension problem to Toyota India, I doubt toyota will issue a recall regarding this issue, they can atleast do what Fiat does by charging a nominal amount and change the suspension. Usually Toyota is very good at something like this, otherwise they can't be number one in the world.

Absolutely, it is a wonderful very refined car though it is made for cost , if not for the suspension and our family really enjoys it, if any one knows about Toyota , they won't even bother to look other brands. it's not unusual for a car company to make cars in their initial venture without understanding the local broken roads especially in rural areas and design cars that are good for urban areas, this is one exception even with Toyota the otherwise Great.They realized their mistake and started fixing the suspension only when you complain to the dealer(not through a general recall Otherwise) , I just got my suspension fixed, my dealer installed a spacer in the rear shocks that increased the ground clearance in the rear by 4cm and also installed tougher struts in the front that has more dampening and everything seem to be perfect now, no noise from the front or rear, no kissing of speed breakers any more. Toyota was too cooperative in this matter as they always are. My cars ground clearance is almost same as the clearance of innova(just a tad shorter), immagine your liva driving like innova over speed bumps, just a comparison for joke purpose. Now I am wondering if I can install hydraulic engine mount as in 2013 Liva's.
