Mahindra Bolero - A Perfect Blend of Economy, Power & Build

Mahindra Bolero is my dream car since the time I was in the school. When I went to college there some financial problems and I was unable to buy this car. So I ended up with Alto K10 which is a small hatch. Mahindra Bolero was always on my mind and after 5 years I decided to get the one and replace the Alto. I booked my car at the dealership and within a week my new Mahindra Bolero was at my doorstep. Driving the Mahindra Bolero is an awesome experience since it's my dream car I had emotional attachment with the vehicle. On the positive side, Mahindra Bolero gets the rock solid body built with amazing safety features that helps one when roads are not in the good condition. The car flaunts the muscular body with sleek grille and robust bumper design with the curved tail lamps at the rear adding more to the charm. The car can climb the steep inclines with ease and offers an amazing experience at the hilly areas. The vehicle also offers an excellent mileage figure which is about 13kmpl. Inside, the car gets decent list of comfort features including air conditioner with 4 ac vents, internally adjustable mirrors and a music system. While, I do noticed some of the minus points in the car, first it's inner built quality is not up to the mark and could be improved it clearly shows the cost-cutting. It also misses on some of the basic features such as height adjustment for seats and tilt adjustment for the steering. In terms of safety, anti-lock brakes and airbags is a big miss. Under the hood, Mahindra Bolero is powered by 2.5L and the 1.5L diesel engines and no petrol mill is available as for now. Where the 2.5L diesel powertrain is capable of generating the power output of 71PS and peak torque of 195Nm, the 1.5L diesel generates 63PS of power and 180Nm of peak torque. I chose the 2.5L variant since it would be meaningless to buy an SUV of such a low power. Ground clearance of the SUV is 180mm which is almost perfect for rough roads as well as speed barkers. So far it has been an amazing experience driving Bolero. Constant moderate speed in the car ensures relaxed and lesser road rage with this car. A total of 4000 kilometres run till date and it still seems enjoyable.
