Vista Safire GLX Review

Tata Motors is all set for the launch of it's new Vista variant, the Tata Vista Safire GLX . The vehicle has extraordinary outer appearance with lots of interior space. It truly provides a sense of luxury. The engine of the car combines power with performance carefully to give the best combination of both. Tata Vista Safire GLX comes in 5 brilliant colors. The car is loaded with comfort features and the car infotainment system is also quite good. Under the hood, this car has a 1.2-litre MPFi engine with an engine displacement of about 1172cc. The suspension system is also of top notch quality and is very ideal for Indian roads the braking system also doesn't disappoint. Storage spaces for storing coins, visiting cards, pen and magazines have been provided. This is a value for money car. Overall the car is very good with comfort, styling and has great pricing.

Exteriors

Tata Vista Safire GLX comes with many luxury class exterior features. The outer look is very bold and grabs immediate attention. The car has an overall length of 3795mm with overall width of 1695mm and overall height of 1550mm. The car has a wheelbase of 2470mm with a ground clearance of 165mm. The kerb weight of the car comes to be 1035 kg. The vehicle comes in 5 beautiful and luxurious colors including Summer Sparkle, Cavern Grey, Spice Red, Porcelain White and Jet Silver. A hint of chrome finish has been given on the outer body and also pearl finishing on rear strip of the car. The multi chamber stylish headlamps with chrome hood strip provide a good look. The wheel covers are stock in the car and have an option of manually adjusting them. Body coloured bumpers, door handles, roof mounted antenna and outside rear view mirrors are good additions in the Tata Vista Safire GLX.

Interiors

The interiors of Tata Vista Safire GLX are very good. The boot space of the car is 232 litres, which is one of the best in its class. The colour scheme used for the interiors is dual tone Ebony Black & Sahara Beige. The seats may be partial fabric but they still provide good levels of comfort. There are adjustable headrests for the front seats and integrated headrests for the rear seats . Visiting card holder, pen holder,magazine pockets( both front and rear) and coin box in glove box may seem like small things but they offer a lot of convenience. The light intensity adjustment for instrument cluster is a unique addition and is of great use. There is also a vanity mirror on the front passenger side. Tachometer, plane internal rear view mirror and central instrument cluster are some other features that are present in the vehicle.

Engine and Performance

Tata Vista Safire GLX version has a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a multi point fuel injection system. This engine comprise of 4 cylinders that hold a total of 16 valves. This engine also has a swept volume of 1172cc. This is a petrol engine variant and the emissions levels of this car follow the Bharat Stage IV rules. The engine provides decent power with a maximum output of 64.1bhp at the rate of 5500 rpm and a maximum torque output of 96Nm at the rate of 3000 rpm. The car also has a responsive transmission system; it comes with the manual transmission system having 5 forward and 1 reverse gear. This powerful engine provides a decent performance along with great fuel efficiency. The fuel mileage of the vehicle is claimed by TATA as 16.7 kmpl on the highways and 13.3 kmpl on the city roads. The fuel tank has a capacity of 37 litres.

Braking and Handling

Tata Vista Safire GLX comes affixed with independent Mc Pherson strut mechanism as front suspension. And for the rear suspension it has a semi independent, twist beam with coil spring. The shock absorbency attached to the suspension performs very well to give comfort and ride smoothness. The braking system of the hatchback is amazing with vacuum assisted independent dual circuit, diagonal split and hydraulic brake type technology. The front brakes comprise of disc while the rear brakes consists of drum brakes. The car also comes with a rack and pinion and the steering is also hydraulic. The steering wheel is power assisted and has a collapsible steering column.

Safety Features

Tata Vista Safire GLX comes with many crucial and significant safety features for the passengers and driver. Child safety locks and central locking are the most basic safety features present in the vehicle. It has also been blessed with halogen headlamps which enhance the visibility during night time driving. The passenger side view mirror is also provided. Side and the front impact beams are present for protecting the delicate regions of the car. There are adjustable seats with key less entry in the car. The engine immobiliser is also provided in the Tata Vista Safire GLX accompanied with a centrally mounted fuel tank.

Comfort Features

In the comfort zone, the car is very good; the car has power steering for ease of driving. The factory fitted music player has a lot of connectivity options such as USB and AUX-in. There are 4 speakers and 2 tweeters present in the car along with a digital clock. The steering wheel has audio controls on it. The air conditioning, heating and ventilation ( HVAC ) of the car is quite good . Bluetooth and phone streaming capabilities come in very handy while driving the Tata Vista Safire GLX.There are only front power windows along with a remote release levers for fuel lid. Lumbar support has been provided for the driver seat to increase the pressure at the back for increased comfort. Vanity mirror, accessory power outlet, multi function steering wheel, rear seat headrest, climate control, rear AC vents are good options for making the ride more comfortable and pleasurable.
