i10 Magna LPG Review

Hyundai Motor Corporation after the huge success of Hyundai Santro launched its Hyundai i10 in the same hatchback segment. This hatchback has been christened as the ‘Next Gen i10’ and has found its place between Hyundai Santro and phased out Hyundai Getz. Offering quality is the key priority of Hyundai i10; equipped with standard features Hyundai10 has proved itself to be a high class car. The i10 took the baton from the Santro as a sensible and comfortable economy car. Lately a facelift of Hyundai i10 was released in the market; this face lifted model has more aggressive and sporty look than its older version. The main alteration is done in the front fascia of the car, the new rounded headlamps, central radiator grille with a single horizontal chrome slat with centrally positioned Hyundai logo and new bumper style. On the mechanical front, Hyundai has made changes to its engine. The face lifted Hyundai i10 is now available in the market in 11 different variants with petrol and LPG fuel options. The Hyundai i10 Magna LPG variant is powered by a 1.1 L iRDE2 in line engine. The 1086cc engine produces a torque of 68bhp at the rate of 5500rpm and a peak torque of 99Nm at the rate of 4500rpm. Comfort and refinement levels are also good in the car; some of the standard features are Air Conditioner, Power steering, power windows and central locking.

Exterior

As we all know the design plays a big role in the choice of cars and the responsibility of this seems to have fallen on one piece bumper. In the front the car has nice clear headlamps which stretch along the hood. The front grille of the car is very small with a single chrome strip and Hyundai symbol. The side profile of the car looks very pretty with body match waistline mouldings; the ORVMs are added with turn indicators like most other luxury cars. The massive air dams give a sporty look to the car and the rounded fog lamps have been replaced by sharper ones. All these changes come together to create a look that gives the little i10 more presence on bustling streets. The face lifted version of i10 has identical VTVT logo and Kappa2 monogram make huge difference in the old and new one. The rear side of the car has also got some changes like the new bumper and the huge tail lamps to add some flash. The hatchback is very roomy and spacious; the length of the car is 3565mm, width being 1595mm and height is 1550mm. The wheelbase of the car is 2380mm with a ground clearance of 165mm .
