Maruti Suzuki India introduced its most awaited MPV, Maruti Ertiga at the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi. The launch of the car was done with great pomp and show and there the MPV managed to receive quite an impressive response from the media and public. The MPV is rolled out to give a tough competition to the cash cow of Toyota, Toyota Innova. what makes Ertiga viable and practical is that it is available in both diesel as well as petrol engine options, while the pricing of the car has been done keeping in mind the pocket of an average Indian consumer. The looks of the car are eye catching, while the interiors have been blessed with numerous comfort features, which comprise of power steering, power windows, and air conditioning system with heater and rear AC vents, CD player with AM/FM radio, sufficient amount of luggage storage space and many more.

The most recent example is the new MPV, called Maruti Ertiga, which is launched in direct competition to Toyota Innova. Over 50 global brands participated in the 11th Auto Expo, which was held in New Delhi. a whole range of new cars were introduced at the Auto Expo 2012 starting from the much awaited Ford EcoSport to India’s first ever supercar, DC Avanti which is likely to be priced between Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh. India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki showcased its new compact SUV concept, Maruti XA Alpha, whereas Hyundai launched the new version of its premium sedan, Sonata. Besides the cars, Auto Expo 2012 also witnessed the unveiling of various two-wheelers. On one hand, Honda launched its super cool bikes, while Yamaha showcased its concept scooter, which is expected to be launched in India this year only.
The 11th Auto Expo was surely a delightful event. More than 50 global car brands showcased their vehicles and domestic companies like Maruti Suzuki India and Mahindra & Mahindra displayed its much anticipated projects. The major highlight was Maruti’s new MPV, Maruti Ertiga that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012. The car will hit the Indian roads by March 2012 and will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants. The price of this new MPV is expected to be between Rs. 7 to Rs. 9 lakhs. Another highlight was Mahindra Reva NXR, which is basically an electric vehicle. Mahindra and Mahindra opted for the ‘Go Green’ strategy with Reva NXR but the price is expected to be on the heavier side. Both these new cars seem to be intelligent and wise in their own sense and are likely to deliver huge success to their respective companies.
Maruti Suzuki India is the largest carmaker in the country and offers value for money cars. Another value for money car is its new multipurpose vehicle, Maruti Ertiga. The car is launched in both diesel and petrol versions and will hit the roads by the month of March 2012. Maruti Ertiga is the production version of Maruti’s R-III concept that was showcased at the 10th Auto Expo. The car could easily fit seven adults and the engine delivers a decent mileage of 10 to 12 km per litre. The price of Maruti Ertiga will range from Rs. 7 lakh and will go up to Rs. 9 lakh.
