Power of Land Rover Range Rover

Editor's take : The power produced by the Range Rover is brutal and can be powered to a super car. The 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo diesel and the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol have sufficient grunt to make a super car ashamed of its speed. The V6 is also decently powered.

Its 3.0-litre diesel, which is based on six cylinders, has the ability of churning out a maximum power of 244bhp at 4000rpm that results in a hammering torque output of 600Nm at just 2000rpm. While the 4.4-litre engine has a total of 8-cylinders and 32-valves. This motor can generate a 335.2bhp at 3500rpm along with a mammoth torque output of 740Nm between 1750 to 2300rpm. On the other hand, its petrol engine is incorporated with a supercharger, which enables it to pump out a commanding power of 502.8bhp at 6000-6500rpm and yields a pounding torque output of 625Nm in the range of 2500 to 5000rpm, which is rather impressive for Indian road conditions.

Editor's take :  The 420kg diet of the new Range Rover has improved its handling and it handles way better than the previous generation and even the ride is good.

All the variants of this model series are incorporated with an advanced disc braking mechanism, which is quite reliable. It is further assisted by anti lock braking system along with electronic brake force assistance and emergency brake assist, which boosts this mechanism. Apart from these, it also has electronic traction control along with stability program. The light weight aluminum body structure comes with impact protection beams and crumple zones, which helps in reducing the impact on occupants by absorbing maximum force caused at the time of collision. The terrain response system is another vital aspect that reduces the efforts of driver besides improving the performance. It has cornering brake control that helps in minimizing the instability of vehicle, which can arise when brakes are applied, while turning at the curves. It also has a roll stability control system that decreases the chances of its rollover during extreme cornering or maneuvering.
