Editor's take : A person buying a V8, will be the last person to be bother about the fuel efficiency of the powerhouse, same is the case of Range Rover buyers.
Power of Land Rover Range Rover

Editor's take : The power produced by the Range Rover is brutal and can be powered to a super car. The 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo diesel and the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol have sufficient grunt to make a super car ashamed of its speed.
The Land Rover Range Rover comes in three different engine options. The 3.6L TDV8 diesel engine and the 4.4L TDV8 diesel engine and the 5.0L Supercharged V8 (Petrol). The 3.6L TDV8 is a longitudinal V8 with 4 valves per cylinder . It produces a maximum power of 271PS @ 4000 rpm and generates a healthy torque of 640Nm @ 2000 rpm. The 4.4L TDV8 is also a longitudinal V8 with 4 valves per cylinder. This model produces a maximum power of 313PS @ 4000 rpm and a meaty torque of 700Nm is a range of 1500-3000rpm. The 5.0L Supercharged V8 (Petrol) has a 4,999cc V8 engine that churns 510 PS of power at 6,000 - 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 625 Nm at 2,500 - 5,500 rpm. All the three engines are not just good off the road but are very sophisticated city cars as well. They perform brilliantly on almost every terrain. With the terrain response system the driver can tailor the traction control, powertrain, electronic stability and suspension systems depending upon the driving conditions. The engine is very quick and responsive and doesn’t lag is moving the substantial bulk of the Land Rover Range Rover and its size. The engine is a real gem. It has plenty of torque and is surprisingly refined sounding more like petrol V8 than dirty oil burning diesel. The engine also is more environmentally friendly and gives out only 253gms/km of CO2.
