The W8 version of the XUV500 is Rs. 3.5 lakh cheaper compared to the Tata Aria Prestige variant. Comparing the two however is not the easiest thing as one is an SUV while the other is a crossover. The XUV500 features a monocoque chassis while the Aria is a basic body-on-frame design. The engine on both vehicles is similar, both being 2.2-litre CRDi engines that produce almost the same amount of power. Transmission on the XUV500 is a 6-speed manual gearbox while the Aria gets a 5-speed. The XUV500 has a very slight lead in terms of performance. Both vehicles feature similar interiors with many options and a similar seating style. Both come in 4WD options.
Since both vehicles feature similar power, performance and feature capabilities, the decision you need to make is whether you want an SUV or a crossover.
