The Polo GT TSI Sport Edition features aesthetic enhancements over the standard GT TSI and is priced at Rs 9.71 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, as of 5 May, 2017). The Sport Edition costs Rs 40,000 more than the standard GT TSI. Apart from the â??GT TSIâ?? badging on the C-pillar and the â??GTâ?? badge on the front grille present on the standard GT TSI, this variant also gets side decals with â??GT Sportâ?? label. It also comes with contrasting gloss black roof, a black spoiler and all-black leatherette seats with â??GT Sportâ?? embossed on them.

The Polo GT TSI Sport Edition is powered by the same in-line 4-cylinder, turbocharged 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine which powers the GT TSI along with the same 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch) automatic gearbox. The 1.2-litre turbocharged engine churns out 105 PS of power and 175Nm of torque, which is 30PS and 65Nm more than the standard Polo which is powered by a 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine. The Polo GT TSI Sport Edition has a fuel efficiency of 17.21kmpl. The fuel tank capacity is rated at 45-litres which gives it a range of over 750km.

The GT Sport edition is equipped with cruise control, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering, handbrake lever and gear knob, automatic climate control, a cooled glovebox, all-aluminium pedals, ambient lighting, â??GTâ?? door sill guards, electrically-adjustable and foldable (outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Polo is one of the safest hatchbacks in the country, and the TSI Sport Edition comes with safety features like dual-airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability program (ESP) and Hill-Hold control.

It is only available in two colour options - Flash Red and Candy White and misses out on the Deep Black colour option which is offered in the standard GT TSI.
