The long wait for Creta SUV series is finally over as the company has launched it officially in the market. It is being sold in a total of 10 variants with both petrol and diesel engine options to select from. The Hyundai Creta 1.6 CRDi SX Plus is its mid range diesel engine trim. It has an outstanding design in combination with refined technologies. Its 1582cc diesel engine has the ability of producing impressive power and torque outputs, which makes it capable even for off-roading. Its suspension system is quite proficient and assists in keeping the vehicle stable on any road condition. At the same time, the company has given it a reliable braking system, which is further enhanced by ABS along with electronic brake force distribution. In terms of exteriors, it has a robust and attractive body design that is fitted with many features, which gives it a striking overall appearance. Its frontage comes with a bold radiator grille that has a lot of chrome treatment, neatly carved headlight cluster, body colored bumper, a couple of fog lamps and many other such aspects. The manufacturer has designed this sports utility vehicle with a large wheelbase of 2590mm along with a decent ground clearance. Its overall length, width and height are 4270mm, 1780mm and 1630mm respectively. At the same time, its plush internal cabin looks quite elegant in a dual tone color scheme and is incorporated with an advanced audio unit with various input options. In terms of safety, it has a long list of aspects and some of these includes 3-point ELR seat belt with warning notification in the instrument panel, engine immobilizer for enhanced protection of the vehicle, dual front airbags and so on. It is being sold with an unmatched warranty of three years without any limitation of mileage, which is a big advantage. 

Exteriors:

The strong and rugged body structure of this utility vehicle is fitted with a number of external aspects that adds to its overall appearance. Starting with the front fascia, it looks aggressive with features like a bold radiator grille and a stylish headlight cluster. This grille is treated with a lot of chrome and is further embedded with an insignia in the center. The sleek bonnet looks quite attractive with a couple of visible character lines on it. Just below this, it has a body colored bumper that is fitted with a wide air intake section for cooling the powerful engine. It is accompanied by a protective cladding for preventing the vehicle from minor damages. This air dam is flanked by a pair of round shaped fog lamps along with cornering lamps. Furthermore, it has a large windscreen that is made up of toughened laminated glass and is equipped with a couple of intermittent wipers. This vehicle has an attractively designed side profile that features chrome plated door handles body colored outside rear view mirrors. Its ORVMs are electrically adjustable and are integrated with side turn indicators. There are also roof rails available with silver finishing that gives it a sporty appearance. The neatly crafted wheel arches are fitted with a modish set of alloy wheels, which are covered with high performance tubeless radial tyres. The rear end has a large tail gate that further includes the variant badging engraved on it and a thick chrome strip. Interiors:

The spacious and lavish internal section is designed in a two-tone color scheme. The company has used fine quality leather to wrap its multi spoke steering wheel as well as the gear shift knob. Engine and Performance:

This variant is fitted with a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 1582cc. It is coupled with a six speed manual transmission gear box, which enables the engine to produce a maximum power of 126.3bhp at 4000rpm in combination with a peak torque output of 259.8Nm between 1900 to 2750rpm. It can achieve a top speed in the range of 180 to 185 Kmph and can accelerate from zero to 100 Kmph in close to 11-13 seconds. With the help of a common rail based direct injection fuel supply system, which can generate a decent fuel economy of 19.6 Kmpl on the bigger roads and about 15.6 Kmpl in city traffic conditions. 

Braking and Handling:

The front and rear wheels are fitted with a set of disc and drum brakes respectively. It is equipped with antilock braking system along with electronic brake force distribution, which augments the braking mechanism. At the same time, its front axle is assembled with a McPherson strut along with coil spring, while the company has used coupled torsion beam for its rear axle and assisted by the similar coil spring as well. The cabin is incorporated with a power steering system, which supports a minimum turning radius of 5.2 meters. 

Comfort Features:

It has an advanced stereo unit along with a touchscreen audio visual navigation system. It supports CD/MP3 player, USB interface, Aux-in port along with six speakers and Bluetooth connectivity. The steering wheel is mounted with audio and call control buttons as well. Its illuminated instrument cluster houses a lot of functions including a low fuel warning light, driver seat belt reminder notification, an electronic tripmeter, a tachometer, a digital clock and external temperature display for keeping the driver updated. It is bestowed with an efficient dual zone air conditioning system, which has fully automatic temperature control function and rear AC vents. It is also equipped with cluster ionizer for purifying the cabin air. 

Safety Features:

The car manufacturer has bestowed this variant a lot of protective aspects, which gives a stress free driving experience. It has dual front airbags for better protection in case of any crash. The advanced engine immobilizer prevents the vehicle from theft and any unauthorized entry. The three point seat belts are given for all passengers wherein it also has driver seat belt reminder notification on instrument panel. Apart from these, it has rear parking sensors, impact sensing auto door lock and unlock function, central locking system, rear view camera along with steering adaptive parking guideline display.
