Honda offers the BR-V SUV with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) only in the second-to-top V variant. The CVT unit comes mated to a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 119PS of power and 145Nm of torque. It is the same engine that also powers the Honda City. With the Honda BR-V V CVT, the company claims a fuel-efficiency figure of 16kmpl. That is 0.6kmpl better than the petrol-powered manual variants of the SUV. The CVT unit in the SUV comes with six different modes in its configuration - Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, Sport and Low.

The 195/60 section tyres on the Honda BR-V V CVT come wrapped around 16-inch alloy wheels. The SUV gets a 42-litre fuel tank, minimum turning radius of 5.3 metres and 210mm of ground clearance. With all three rows of seats up, the boot space is restricted to 223-litres. However,it can be increased to 691-litres by folding the with the third row of seats. In terms of features, the BRV CVT does miss out on a few when compared to the fully-loaded VX variant. The list includes one-touch up function for the driver-side power window, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped gear shift knob, leather pad on the door armrest, LED position lamps, heat-absorbing windshield and side protector and chrome garnish on the front and rear bumpers.

However, when compared to the lower-spec S variants, the V CVT gets more features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, turn indicators on outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), push button start/stop tech, speed-sensing door locks, armrest in the second row, front fog lamps, security alarm and impact-sensing automatic door unlock feature.

The Honda BR-V is offered in six different shades for the body paint - Carnelian Red Pearl, Orchid White Pearl, Urban Titanium Metallic, Taffeta White, Golden Brown Metallic and Alabaster Silver Metallic. The Honda BR-V V CVT competes with the Hyundai Creta Petrol AT and Renault Duster Petrol CVT.
